![]() It comes standard with CNC aviation grade zinc alloy handles. The MTU11B is an automatic double-action large OTF knife that is part of our Distinctive Collection. Truly great knives, keep them coming, I’m telling everyone that I know that’s into knives.” -T.W. (Brass Knuckle) and can’t wait to get it in my hands. “This Knife is a keeper, I have other OTF knives and this one locks up better than one I got for $425.00, holds a edge very well with the D2 steel, I have a new one ordered of a different style. Our customer, T.W., had only good things to say about it. The 100% CNC construction of the handle makes for a precise fit of the handle and the blade. However, this knife is different from normal large OTFs because this bad boy only weighs 4.2 ounces, regardless of it being slighting over 10 inches in length. As you should expect, another customer rated it as a five-star knife. If you are new to the OTF knife game, we suggest trying out the MTU11B. ![]() The blade shoots out at the switch at the bottom and will retract in the same manner, allowing for easy and comfortable use. The STLBW1 mimics the popular and iconic Italian Stiletto looks. The TacKnives Italian Stiletto OTF series STLBW1 offers a distinctive switchblade and OTF all in one. Most importantly, these old arthritic hands can open and close it.” -Dennis Being rated at five stars, the STLBW1 is not only beautiful to look at, but according to Dennis, it isn’t difficult to use either: The STLBW1 is also a part of the large OTF family, stretching out to 11 inches long and weighing 8.4 ounces. The MTU6 finds itself in a unique position, as it is far different from the STLBW1. It’s also a knife that someone who stands 6’3” in stature, like our customer T. Weighing in at 15.1 ounces and 9.37 inches long, the MTU6 fits right into the large OTF family. I’m 6’3″ and was hoping this knife would not be too small for my hand. Nice and weighty.! This sucker will pack a punch! Smooth OTF blade, both in and out! Fits my hand perfectly. I’m here to tell you, this knife is both! The is smooth operating like the video they have. Shopping online for something like this is difficult, while looking for quality and weight, you just can’t tell by looking at a picture. “I spent a lot of time online looking for knuckle knives. Here’s what one of our customers had to say about it: The body of the knife is made with aircraft grade aluminum which is extremely strong and light. The MTU6 is a one of a kind product that combines a brass knuckle and OTF knife. Some of Our Favorite Large OTF Knives The Brass Knuckle MTU6Ī fan-favorite among the large OTF knives, is the five-star customer rated Brass Knuckle MTU6. We’ll cover some of the large OTFs we offer, and our reviews from satisfied customers. Now that we’ve run through the basics, let’s get to the fun stuff. However, there are always exceptions to that rule, and we’ll get into that. Ouch! Yes, a safety takes a second or two more to switch an auto blade into the live position, but many feel it’s worth it.A large OTF ranges from 9 to 11 inches when fully opened, and weighs anywhere between 8 to 15 ounces. Some automatics have safeties to prevent the blade from opening in the pocket or while drawing from the carry position to engaging the blade. For pure self-defense, an OTF can engage the blade quicker, because there is no maneuvering required to clear the fingers from the blade opening and readjust your grip as required by an OTS. If you need utility, an OTS is the way to go. Most important is how you plan to use your automatic. The Fury’s stonewashed 3.75-inch 154CM stainless steel blade is of a hybrid tanto/clip-point design, and its 5.25-inch black anodized machined aluminum handle can accommodate the largest of mitts. 2) Consider Use: OTS Is Better For Utility & OTF Is Better For Defense At 8.75 inches fully extended, the Conquest Tactical Fury OTF is a juggernaut. This may also be because they are much more familiar with side-opening designs. There are more OTS models available on the market now simply because manufacturers choose to produce more, so selection is greater. Interestingly, budget is not one of them, because there is a range of $50 on up to hundreds of dollars for each. The right knife is the one that fits best with your tasks and preferences, and all knife features are worth considering, no matter how insignificant they may appear at first glance. While this may seem like a small difference, it’s not to be overlooked. OTS Knife: A type of automatic knife where the blade deploys “out the side” of the handle. ![]() "Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate." ![]() ![]() So Apple just fixing this and bringing back the column browser would be the preferred way. Same is true for mixes that I sometimes receive and that need checking in the environment they most likely get consumed in anyways. There is a lot music - nonclassical and classical - that is not available via streaming. Streaming classical on Apple Music is damm near unusable beyond anything than finding some "mood"-pieces.Īlso in fact I still sometimes use iTunes to manually add music to my iPhone. Features like automatic sample rate switching ensure you get the highest possible quality from your music files. It has wide format support including FLAC, WMA and Ogg Vorbis, and a simple but flexible interface that fits in with the rest of Mac OS X. They introduced the "use work/movement" instead of songs option but that's about it. Swinsian is a music player focused on playing and managing your music. Which changes all the time.Ĭlassical music obviously has no proper constituency at Apple. ![]() Why do I want so many versions of the same piece?! The joy of listening is in comparing those and finding your favourite. And once you have 7 different recordings of Wagners Ring stuff really gets complicated. So I am looking at 60 "songs" that I need to be able to sort quickly. two or three times over their career and these interpretations might be very different from each other. If I edit the tags correctly, if I leave the album artist tag blank, then it appears as one. To make things worse a particular ensemble might have recorded op. I found that swinsian doesn’t always handle compilation albums very well, even tho swinsian tags them as compilations, when they appear in navidrome, the compilation album is in single tracks by artist, and through this sub found meta and mp3tag. Yet the four movements constitute a unity - determined for each album by the particular ensemble who interpreted it. Each of these has four movements with the same "song"-title, perhaps same album title (Beethoven String Quartets) etc. all the time.įor example I have 15 different recordings of Beethovens string quartet op. But listeners of classical music need to engage with the relations between data like artist, composer, opus number, date of recording etc. The notion of consuming meta-data might seem alien to listeners not familiar with this genre. Default locations for the Swinsian database file and the iTunes XML are assumed. There really is no alternative to the column browser. The most basic use case is to just launch the script. Consuming classical music is consuming meta-data. ![]() He gave a bunch of great tips on the tour and we were glad to have him. We tried one and then went back for more- great recommendation. Our tour guide Jorge also recommended we try the guava and cheese pastries At Yisell. We had lunch in little Havana- at Old Havana’s Cuban Bar- Cuban sandwich and Plantain maderous- Delicious! They were also playing Cuban music. It was the perfect amount of time to explore. She is more interested in Arts and the Wynwood Walls were right up her ally. We wanted to pack as much in as possible and this tour met both of our needs. My 13 year old and I were in Miami for a short time. We also saw a wildlife show where a guide showed us alligators and talked about them. It was fun to learn that turning a corner in an airboat is like a car’s controlled sideways skid around a corner. It is replenished by rainstorms and hurricanes. I had forgotten that the Everglades is a shallow slow-moving river filled with tall grasses and some small islands, not a swamp. The driver/guide was knowledgeable and very funny. It was nice to be out of the horrendous downtown traffic. I stayed on the bus for the afternoon tour of the Everglades. Daniel did a masterful job of finding a way around all the closed roads and detours and finding a place to park the bus on the side of the Marketplace and arranging transportation for the people who were leaving the tour (heading back to Miami Beach) and a guide to deliver people to the harbor tour boat. Daniel needed to drop off some people who were going to take a Biscayne Bay cruise and some who were done with the tour. We were stuck in traffic from 1:15-2:30p trying to get back to Bayside Marketplace. When we returned to Bayside Marketplace, the entrance had been closed in preparation for the marathon the next day. I bought a t-shirt and keychain at the Little Havana Visitors Center. I had a Cuban sandwich and shoestring fries. I chose this restaurant, because it was highly recommended by our bus driver and walking tour guide. We had an hour and a half in Little Havana for lunch and shopping. We got off the bus for guided walking tours of Wynwood Walls and Ocean Drive on South Beach. ![]() ![]() It was a large, comfortable, air-conditioned bus. We were also given a Little Havana Dining Guide, water, USB charging ports, and a WiFi password. On the bus we were provided with interesting maps of our route which included facts about the area, landmarks, businesses, and terminology. I was in awe of Daniel maneuvering that huge bus on narrow traffic-clogged streets. I got picked up at 9.30 at my Hotel and got back around 6pm. It’s a toss up between Wynwood and the Everglades. I learnt a lot on this trip and it’s tough to say which was my favourite part. We sped around the area and stopped for a time while our Captain told us about the area and the wildlife. We ate at the Ball & Chain and had a delicious Cuban sandwich. It’s worth taking the guide’s advice on where to eat as some places are not speedy. We were able to get something to eat and then wander up and down the road. Little Havana for lunch was a great idea. The Wynwood Gardens was awe inspiring and we caught a couple of artists adding their touch while we were there. I’m not sure I would have visited any other way. The bus took us over to Wynwood Walls which was amazing. Juan and the driver (sorry I don’t remember his name) made the tour around Miami Beach enjoyable and shared a load of information with us. ![]() ![]() There’s even a built-in race engineer that will suggest tuning changes based on the feedback you give it. Project CARS 2 is a tremendously deep destination for racing diehards but it doesn’t want to outright intimidate people. It seems like part of a wider, more accessible philosophy everywhere, from the less frantic menu layout, to the calm and informative VO from handling consultant and former Top Gear Stig Ben Collins eloquently explaining each and every aspect of the game as you encounter it. There are plenty of settings you can massage if you wish, though (and what they do to your controller’s response and feel is way more clearly explained than it ever was in the more obtuse series of settings available in the first Project CARS). You don’t need a wheel to enjoy this deep, nuanced handling model there’s a satisfying, challenging, and most of all manageable racing experience to be had here, regardless of your control method. It’s a fraction more numb on turn-in compared to the 1:1 directness you get on a wheel but the twitchiness of the first game is just gone. I haven’t even touched any settings straight out of the box Project CARS 2 feels manageable and planted. On a gamepad, though? It’s simply a different game to the first altogether. The sensation of grip is terrific but so is the feel of it going away, which is way, way more linear and realistic. On a wheel it’s brilliant, from the feeling of being able to step the rear end out – and still save your car from what previously would’ve been a certain, uncontrolled slide – to the feel of the steering sharpening as your tyres come up to temperature, allowing you to really cut into corners and gobble up apexes. “Project CARS 2’s new handling model is a tour de force. So, let's get on to how to make those homemade bread crumbs! Not only that, but you can also make them out of leftover crust (picky kids, anyone?) or even the ends of the loaf that nobody likes. It's a great way to use up bread that's going stale. ![]() Making homemade bread crumbs is so easy! You can pretty much use whatever type of bread you have on hand. However, if you're frying chicken, then feel free to use some BBQ chips! Mmmmm, they'll make it that much more delicious.ĭon't those all sound super easy to use?! Now, let's get on to that recipe we told you about. Crushed Potato Chips – Pretty much everybody has some potato chips in their pantry, so put those to good use! Like the croutons, you do have to be mindful of what flavor they are. There may be a recipe where you don't want to use garlic and herb or caesar-flavored bread crumbs. Our biggest tip is to be mindful of what flavor they are. Crusted Croutons – These may be an obvious to you since they're also made from dried bread. They crush up really easily in a baggie - you can just use your hands, a wooden spoon, or even a book! Crushed Corn Flakes – Plain corn flakes ( NOT the sugary kind!) are another great substitute.A coffee grinder or food processor work great for this. Oats – These work as a great substitute and they're healthier than the plain ones, too! (Not to mention gluten-free.) You do have to grind them, though.Cracker Crumbs – Throw them in a baggie and roll them with a rolling pin until they're the consistency you like.Homemade Bread Crumbs – Make your own! We've got a great recipe coming up for you in a few.All of these can be subbed for the exact same amount as the recipe calls for: ![]() But you could totally save the extra money and just season them how you like them at home! #ShelfCooking for the win, anyone?!Īlright, now let's get on to other ingredients (that you probably already have in your pantry, remember?) to substitute for bread crumbs when you run out. They're still plain bread crumbs, they've just already been seasoned for you. You can find other types at the store, such as gluten-free. They're great to use for Italian dishes, such as meatball marinara, chicken parmesan, and fried ravioli, just to name a few! Italian – Basically these are the same as the regular bread crumbs, but they have Italian seasonings added to them.Panko bread crumbs are lower in calories, fat, and sodium, and higher in fiber. Of the three types, it's the healthier alternative. It's usually used for coating deep-fried foods. Panko – This Japanese-style is made from white bread without the crust. They can be used in pretty much any recipe and you can season them however you need, especially if your recipe calls for Italian bread crumbs and you only have plain. Plain – These bread crumbs are made from a variety of breads, from white to wheat, which still have their crusts on when they're made.Any given recipe will call for one of these types! Now you know what bread crumbs are and the most common ways they're used, let's get on to the different types! We've basically got the big three when it comes to them. ![]() ![]() There are so many other ways you can use them, these are just the most common ones! Are you starting to realize why bread crumbs are such a handy ingredient to keep as a pantry staple yet?
